I never intended to be a therapist, or even a social worker for that matter! Yet during my undergraduate program I made a series of what seemed to be small choices that led me to this place.
I began college in 2000 seeking my BA in Business Administration; focused on having a career in Human Resources. My university had a leadership program that as part of the learning and scholarship required community service work. I ventured upon a domestic violence shelter and was forever changed. I answered calls and eventually helped at the safe house with the women and children. It was heartbreaking and eye opening to me and awoke a passion that led me down my path.
I have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2011 and treated clients ranging from 5-80 in settings ranging from psychiatric inpatient to community mental health to private practice settings.
